Halo 3 Multiplayer Beta hit Xbox LIVE worldwide on May 16. The Halo 3 beta testing is scheduled to run until June 6. For those of you eager to get your hands on a copy of the complete official Halo 3 game for your Xbox 360, you’ll have to wait until Sept 25, 2007; you can’t own or download Halo 3 right now.

Halo 3 is the biggest release on Xbox 360 this year, and it comes earlier than previously expected. You can of course pre-order Halo 3 and there will be a few different packages to choose from : Halo 3 Legendary Edition (harder to find), Halo 3 Limited Edition and Halo 3 Standard Edition. Apparently, Halo 3 pre-orders are already at over 4 million copies in North America.

So all in all, Halo 3 will be an overhauled version of the Halo people already love. The Halo 3 gameplay will undoubtably remain the same and the same goes for the Halo 3 multiplayer universe (if I believe Slashdot’s impressions). Why would they change a winning formula?
